MacroFactor is for people who want an algorithm sitting on their log: expenditure, targets, a weekly rhythm. It is a serious tracker. It is not a camera-first ring.
FORM is for people who want the day captured fast, then judged as one RING. Scan. Train. Rest. Close it.
Side by side
| FORM | MacroFactor | |
|---|---|---|
| Core loop | Scan, train, rest, close the ring | Log intake, follow algorithm targets |
| Food capture | Plate, barcode, menu, text | Search, barcode, detailed diary |
| Coaching math | Not an expenditure coach | Expenditure and target updates |
| Training | In the same day as meals | Often paired with a separate gym log |
| Daily object | The RING | Targets and weekly trends |
Control vs speed
If you enjoy weighing food, hitting a moving target, and reading expenditure charts, MacroFactor is built for that attention. FORM will feel too simple. That is the point. The card is an estimate. The ring is the day. You can edit. You will not get a full coaching model.
If you will not open a diary after a mixed plate at 21:00, FORM is the log you will actually keep. An unused algorithm does not coach you.
Who each is for
- Pick MacroFactor if you want diary precision and an algorithm on your intake.
- Pick FORM if you want fitness and nutrition in one ring, and you log food by scanning.
